The Boys’ Brigade in South East Essex


Boys' Brigade ("BB") is a national, Christian organisation for children and young people. It offers a varied and flexible programme of activities, in a friendly supportive environment to encourage  personal development and growth in the Christian faith.

There are eleven local units (known as "Companies") of Boys' Brigade in South East Essex; which together form the South East Essex Battalion. In addition to the work of the Boys’ Brigade one company currently also provides a Girls Association.

The purpose of our website is to show what Boys' Brigade is about and bring news of the latest activities in S E Essex.

The work of the BB in SE Essex covers four age groups (known as “Sections”) as follows:

Senior Section

(age 15-18 years)

Junior Section

(age 9-11 years)

Anchor Boys

(age 5-8 years)

Company Section

(age 12-15 years)
